Humminbird MFD Compatibility - Boat Night Vision

Humminbird chartplotter camera compatibility

The BoatEye360 night vision camera is the most compatible camera for Humminbird fish finders. As far as we know, it's the only marine camera on the market with both HDMI (1080p digital) and analog RCA outputs in one camera, so it connects to every Humminbird APEX 13, 16 and 19 for a full 1080p HDMI picture. Both the BoatEye360 C-1080 V1 and V2 have the same analog and HDMI digital outputs, so they have the same compatibility.

APEX is the only Humminbird with a video input. Humminbird SOLIX, XPLORE, HELIX, ONIX, PiranhaMAX and ICE X Series units have no camera input, so they can't show a camera. Find your Humminbird model below.

✓ The HDMI cable, RCA cable and RCA-to-BNC adapter come in the box with your camera.

Frequently asked questions

Does the BoatEye360 camera work with Humminbird fish finders?

Yes, on every Humminbird APEX 13, 16 and 19. APEX has an HDMI In port, and the BoatEye360 camera has an HDMI output (digital 1080p), so you get a full 1080p picture. Both the C-1080 V1 and V2 have the same outputs, so they work the same way.

Which Humminbird models have an HDMI input?

Only APEX. Humminbird says HDMI In is an APEX-only feature. It works on the APEX 13, 16 and 19, including APEX units sold with VX maps.

What cable do I need for a Humminbird APEX?

Use the HDMI cable that comes in the box with your BoatEye360 camera. Plug it into the port labelled HDMI In, not HDMI Out. HDMI Out sends the APEX screen to another display and can't take a camera.

Can I see the camera on another Humminbird display on my boat?

Plan on the camera showing only on the APEX it's plugged into. Humminbird doesn't say that HDMI In video can be shared to another APEX over the Ethernet network.

What if my Humminbird model has no video input?

SOLIX, XPLORE, HELIX, ONIX, ION, PiranhaMAX and ICE X Series units can't show a camera. Pair your BoatEye360 camera with our V2 10-inch marine monitor instead. It has HDMI and two RCA inputs.

Install tips

  • After you plug the camera in, restart the APEX. The HDMI view only shows after a restart.
  • Use the HDMI In port. The HDMI Out port sends the APEX screen to another display and can't take a camera.
  • The HDMI plugs on some APEX units sit at a slight angle. That's by design, so don't try to bend them straight.
  • Ethernet and NMEA ports on SOLIX, XPLORE and HELIX don't carry camera video.
