Great product
I was a little skeptical at first, especially for the price - But, let me tell you - it is far better than what I was expecting! Surprisingly... It has a heavy metallic housing and is waterproofed (there is a video of it being totally submerged) and allows for 3 input sources - (1) HDMI and (2) RCA (at least the one I received does). The 3 input leads are very generous in length, so routing should not be an issue. The power leads (Red + / Black - ) are also generously long for any routing you may have to do. It also features an uncomplicated U-shaped tilt-able and removable mounting bracket which should be fine for most on-helm or t-top installations. I chose to design and 3D print mounting brackets for my situation using the bracket mounting holes on the monitor housing. It also offers a female 1/4-20 mounting hole on the bottom and a T-slot on the back for mounting as well. I suspect with careful routing and a template you could custom flush mount this into 1/2" acrylic. The attached sunshade can be easily removed via screws if that is not required. It has a fairly low/narrow viewing angle, but as it is mounted directly in front of the helm so this is not a problem for me and the images from the C1080 over HDMI are crystal clear. All power and function buttons are located on the face and work as intended. There could be better documentation on the menus, but it's not hard to figure out. Also, while the boateye360 C-1080 could have plugged into my MFD - having a standalone system that is independent of the chartplotter is a great redundancy to have and leaves room for running the cables required for radar in the already cramped hardtop cable channel. So glad I purchased this!
Customer service was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful regarding my purchase
