Customers can choose between RCA (CVBS) or HDMI based on their setup and display preferences. RCA (CVBS) is ideal for connecting to most chartplotters and marine displays that support analog video input. If using RCA, make sure to set the chartplotter to PAL format for the best image quality. HDMI is the better option for those who want higher resolution and sharper image quality, perfect for connecting to an external monitor or a modern MFD with HDMI input. Choose the option that best fits your boat’s setup and viewing needs!
Yes, the Boateye360 camera excels in identifying crab traps, buoys, and other hazards, providing full-color images even in near-total darkness. However, traveling at higher speeds may affect your ability to see and react to these objects in time. We always recommend navigating at slower speeds during nighttime for optimal safety.
The default frame rate for our camera is 30 fps (recommended). A 60 fps option is available.
Yes, all necessary cables are included with your purchase. The standard cable length provided is 33 feet (10 meters). If you need longer cables, they are available for purchase separately.
Yes, the HDMI version includes an HDMI cable with a length of 16.4 feet (5 meters) and a power cable that is 33 feet (10 meters).
You will need standard marine-grade stainless steel screws or bolts, size M5. These are not included with the camera, so please prepare accordingly for installation.
The camera is rated IP68 to IP69, making it highly resistant to water ingress. It is not designed for underwater operation and should not be submerged.
Yes, the pelican-style case that comes with our camera is waterproof and can be used for storing important documents and other safety devices.
All our models are designed for permanent installation on vessels, but they can be easily modified to be portable. Reach out to us to learn more about these modifications.
To reduce noise when using analog video, ensure all connections are secure and use shielded cables. Try to ground both the camera and chartplotter/monitor at the same location. Additionally, avoid routing cables near radar, radio, and other high-interference devices to minimize disruption.
We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee. You can return the camera within this period for a full refund, and we cover all associated shipping costs.

the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They treated me like family from the start. I would recommend this company and service to anyone
Dhru is very responsive. He guided me through the purchase as i had a ton of questions. He was very patient with me. And im happy with my purchase.
First, this camera is built like a tank. No flimsy plastic housings here! Easy install and was identified immediately by my Garmin 1243. Im using the BNC connection and the picture is very good. Not as good as HDMI, but the image is very clear and it is easy to see everything the camera picks up. This will be a great asset for those early morning trips out and late evening cruises. I highly recommend.
The build quality of this Camera is built like a WW2 tank. it is very solid and built to last. I also got the monitor which i highly recommend. it is also built stong. 0the proce of the Camera and monitor setup came out cheaper than the sionix nightwave. The YouTube videos do boateye360 no justice. Don't sleep on boateye360. it's worth it and I am extremely confident for night boating this year

I purchased this camera and I am very impressed with the hardware, casing, and powder coating of the unit. Everything is high quality componentry. The allen screws are made out of titanium and that element has excellent corrosion resistance to salt air/water. I still coated the threads and washer with TEF-GEL (just in case). I purchased an HDMI unit even though my 12” SIMRAD NSS EVO3S has RCA input jacks for two video sources. The RCA inputs are 480p NTSC and 570p PAL and I required a downconverter from the 1080p native resolution for my setup. I purchased the 1080p version to future proof my camera in case I transfer it to another boat in the future, and maybe I will purchase the HD display BE360 sells if I want the HD resolution sooner. The camera CMOS sensor is very sensitive to light (lux sensitivity specification?) yet it can be turned on in during daylight hours and there is no danger of burning out the sensor - great protection. I can’t wait to use it for returning to port without trying to beat out everyone else doing the same thing at dusk. Now I can leave later - much less anxiety. The customer service provided by the owner Mr. Shaw was excellent as he answered all of my questions, and provided me excellent advice.
I’ll let you know once installed and tested
Our camera has a 44-degree field of view, which offers a great balance of clarity and coverage for nighttime boating. Spotting crab traps depends on a few things like how fast you're going, whether there’s moonlight or starlight, and how far away they are. In our testing, we’ve been able to see crab traps most of the time, but like with any tool, it’s important to stay alert and pay attention while navigating.
That depends on specific model. Some Hummingbirds have HDMI input. Please email us or call us directly to verify compatibility. Thanks
